Kalamazoo's Paramount Charter Academy offers numerous extra-curricular opportunities that enrich the educational experience of its elementary and middle school students:
- Our middle school music teacher, Jaymi Yettaw, leads our award winning bands. We are so proud of them!
- A variety of sports
- Foreign language instruction
- Several field trips
- New this Year! Three fifth grade students have started a fifth grade newspaper that is published bi-weekly and is comprised of one feature article and three brief interviews with fifth graders on the "Question of the Week"
- 4th and 5th grade students participate in the Global Reading Challenge every year. This is a battle of the books where they read 10 books and are quizzed over them. The winning team from Kalamazoo competes against a team in Seattle, Washington via computer. We have made it to the Kalamazoo branch challenge twice in the past 6 years.
